Elf on a Shelf Snowball Fight

Chintz and Snow White at 20 Paces

The Cupcake LOVED, I mean LOVED yesterday’s Elf on a Shelf Tea Party. She kept revisiting the scene all through the evening. And not surprisingly, the mini “donuts” disappeared one by one with each subsequent visit. They were all gone by 7:23 p.m.

She talked on and on about how funny Chintz was and how she loved the tea party. I was really feeling the pressure to go the distance with the tonight’s Elf on a Shelf antics.

“Mom, I love our family. I love you. I love Daddy. And I love Chintz.” The pugs used to make the short list, now Chintz does. Yep, I had my work cut out for me.

“Mom, Chintz is so funny. I wonder what he’s going to do tonight.”

“Yeah, I dunno (panic in voice). What do YOU think he’ll do tonight?” (Never hurts to ask for ideas, right?!)

“I think he’s gonna do something with my gingerbread house.”

“Oh reeeeally?” Hmmmm. “CHINTZ? YOU HEAR THAT? SHE THINKS YOUR GOING TO DO SOMETHING WITH HER GINGERBREAD HOUSE TONIGHT.” She had been asking me all that morning and afternoon if I talk to Chintz. I thought maybe if I raised my voice, she’d get that we were hinting to Chintz.

Sigh of relief. Finally. An easy one. I briefly thought about having Chintz EAT the gingerbread house, but I thought that might go over about as well as the green milk.

Chintz used his special Elf on a Shelf magic to snow on the house and build his snowman. But playing in the snow is no fun by yourself, so who better to join him than Snow White herself? The two had a little snowball battle – Chintz taking cover behind the gingerbread house because apparently Snow White has a pretty good arm. The Cupcake thought it was hilarious that one of Snow White’s “snowballs” had landed on his head.

The Cupcake even got in on the elf on a shelf  snowball fight fun with mini marshmallows flying around the room. I’m pretty sure the puglets have forgiven her for dissing them since she let them clean up the wayward “snowballs.” Would it be wrong to put them on the table to clean up the sugar too?

See more Elf on a Shelf ideas including a few that were not so successful as this one which you will find on the Elf on a Shelf Fail page.
